Tips 1   

You can create a bootable flash or pen drive (Windows XP)

Follow the steps to create a bootable pen drive with Windows XP Service pack 1, 2 or 3.

WinSetupUSB0.2.3

1. Download WinSetupUSB0.2.3
 
2. Install and run it from xp or 7 in any platform.

3. Whenever you want to open the program you can see a dialog box.

4. Insert a windows XP CD or DVD into the drive.

5. Interface a Minimum 2 GB pen drive to USB port.

6. Click browse button of " Windows 2000/ XP / 2003 Source" for Select CD/ DVD drive source.

7. Click Refresh button of " USB Disk selection " for select Pen drive (It configured automatically).

8. Before start you have to format the pen drive with NTFS Format tools. (Format will be as NTFS not
    FAT32)

9. Select " Force Target Type " as Fixed.

10. Just click GO.

11. The task will complete within few minutes. 

12. Click Finish button to end the process.

Practical

Install or setup windows xp to your desktop or Laptop, net-book from Usb flash drive  ?

1.  Turn off the Computer.

2. Insert or interface Usb drive to the usb port .

3. Turn on the PC

4. Press delete (Del) or F2 or F10 button of keyboard to enter BIOS Setup utility Or during POST press 

    F10 or  Esc or F9 to select boot option . (find out  what is actual boot option from manual of motherboard)

5.  You have to boot with pen drive twice

6. Computer screen will display 2 lines - Part 1  and Part 2

7. Select Part 1

8. After loading some files a message will appear on the screen , Press Enter to display all drive of HDD

9. Select C and Press Enter

10. After complete copying process computer will restart

11.  Boot computer with pen drive and select Part 2

12. Reaming all task computer will complete  automatically. When finish You will find a desktop screen.

13. Now you can operate Windows XP.    Enjoy it.

 

Tips 2

 Create a windows 7 boot-able flash or pen drive ?

Follow the step of  how to create Windows 7 boot  to a Flash or pen drive .

 1.  Download koala setup

2. Install and run it from windows xp service pack 3 or windows 7 platform.

3. Whenever you will open the program you can see a dialog box .

4. Insert a windows 7 DVD into the drive.

5. Insert or Interface a minimum 4 GB pen drive to USB port.

6. Click "Scan" (Indication 1) button of  Source to select automatically DVD drive .

7. Destination Flash or Pen drive will select Automatically. If no click "Scan" (Indication 2) button of
    Destination.

8. Click Start button  ( Indication 3)

11. The task will complete within few minutes. 

12. Click Finish button to end the process.

  

Practical

01. Turn Off your computer before start.

02. Insert a bootable (windows 7) flash or pen drive to the USB port.

03. Turn On the computer now.

04. Go to BIOS by pressing F2 or F10 or Del key ( See the manual of MB). Or press ESC or F9 or F10 or F11 or F12  button during POST.

05. After loading some files a message will appear on the screen ,

06. Click Install

07. Select C drive

08. Click Next
09. After complete copying process computer will restart

12. Reaming all task computer will complete  automatically. When finish you will find a 7 desktop screen.

13. Now you can operate Windows 7.    Enjoy it.

Practical

You can protect your important files using by BitLocker Drive Encryption ?

* Requirement : Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise editions(Operating System), more than one hard disk 

   drive partition,  Removable drive or flash drive.  If you have this lets start... 

01.Turn On the computer
02. Double click on Computer (My Computer)
03. Right click on the drive which you want to create BitLocker Drive Encryption

04. A dialog box will appear on the screen. Click Turn On BitLocker .

05. Another dialog box will appear on the screen.  Check " Use a password to unlock the drive" 
06. Type code in the fields of    " Type your password"  and  " Retype your password "

07.  Click Next
08. A dialog box will appear on the screen. Select  where you want to keep your recovery key.  Select 
      "Save the recovery key to a file"  select a folder of  a destination drive.   

09. Click Next

10. Click Start Encrypting button 

11. Click Close button to end the process.

12. Restart the computer.   Enjoy it!

* You can turn off BitLocker at any moment , either temporarily by suspending it, or permanently by decrypting the drive.

Tips 4

Practical

Now you can change windows, vista and 7 startup sound

If you need to change windows 7 or vista, start up sound you have to take following step :

01. Record or collect your sample *.wav file. Keep it in windows folder.

02. Download start up sound changer , run it.

03. Whenever you want to run it a following dialog box will appear on the screen -

03. Click "play" to listen your current start up sound.

04. Click " Replace " to change start up sound with new *.wav file.  Another dialog box will appear on the
      screen. 

05. Browse and select your desire *.wav file.

06. Now Click " Play "  again to listen whatever you have changed.  Enjoy it !

Disable autorun function in windows XP service pack 1, 2, 3 

01. Click on  "Start button"

02. click on  "run" menu

03. Type " gpedit.msc"  in the box of Open

04. Click "OK"

05. A dialog box will appear

06. Click "Administrator Tamplates"

07. Double click on "System" 

08. Double click on " Turn Off Auto play"

09. Select " Enable " option

10. Select "All drives" in the field of Turn of Auto play

11. Click "OK"

12. Close the window.  

* Now Auto play function is disable. Enjoy it!

Repair a bad hard disk 

Now you can repair your bad hard disk.

01. Download WinDFT

02. Install and run your computer

03. Restart the PC

04. After restart you will find WinDFT shortcut icon on the desktop screen.

05. Double click on it.

WinDFT is a application that will easily test your HGST internal  and external hard disks and also all single drive. You can depend on this application to do read tests without having it overwriting your drive information. WinDFT also has extra utilities if you have to erase the disk thoroughly clean of data.)

BIOS SETUP UTILITY

After assemble a computer we have to enter BIOS (Basic Input Output System) setup utility to change its configuration. BIOS preloaded with flash chip at every motherboard.  Whenever  we press power  button  to run  the computer  it  works automatically. BIOS make a bridge between Motherboard and  Operating system.

Mainly we are using three categories BIOS setup utility software. 1. Award Software Inc. 2. American Mega trend Inc. and 3. Phonix BIOS.

How to enter BIOS Setup program ?

After turn on a computer, time of POST (Power On Self Test) or during booting press F1, F2, F10 or Del (Delete) key to enter BIOS or CMOS (Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) setup utility program. F10 is generally used for Boot Menu. If you are unsure what key to enter BIOS, see the manual of Motherboard. It comes from every new purchased Motherboard. If BIOS protected by password you can not enter BIOS setup utility program. You can clear password  by remove battery or sort for 5 seconds normal clear Jumper.

   
Whenever you enter a BIOS setup program you will see look like the following screen.

There are several Menu entire the window. Press right arrow key  to move next menu. Press down or up arrow key to select Item. And press + or _ key to change value or field.
